Hi, my name is Carol Reed, and I became a behavior specialist, parent educator, and social skills counselor at the University of California, Irvine Child Development School 20 plus years ago
This is my life; I have over 15,000 hours of working with students and parents to be more successful in the classroom, home and with relationships.
Weekly planning and reviewing made these interactions successful. I met weekly with teachers, psychologists and families to review the weeks’ successes and challenges, then turn those reviews into the best plan for the following week. In this manner, great progress was made.
Children became more on task, spoke more assertively, became more compliant and families were more relaxed to name a few benefits.
I’m putting this strategy into practice for parents in an accessible coaching manner so you may receive the weekly strategy sessions to help your child. I will be there to guide you through the struggles and help you use what you know.
I can ask you the right questions, and help you effect the best small changes that make your work with your child more successful.
Everyone is trained for just about every job except parenting!
Parenting is one of the most important jobs we will ever have, and we are expected to perform well without training. It is the brave who venture to ask for help and allow another to provide some feedback on their performance. If you are asking for assistance, then you are already a good parent because you are trying to do your best and improve. Reading parenting books provides more knowledge.
We know theory doesn’t always play out exactly as planned in practice, so it is good to have an experienced coach guiding you as you put your new knowledge in to practical experiences.
It takes reviewing, feedback and planning to improve. Professional assistance gives you the extra experience, training and knowledge.
Does this sound like a program that can help your situation?
If you choose to sign up with Carol Reed Coaching for parents you will, benefit from that extra edge to be your best parenting self.
